Tag SRS with AIS MC MURDO Smartfind S20

Based on the latest technology SART AIS, the Smartfind S20 is an individual AIS (Auto ID system) tag intended to facilitate the tracking and recovery of a crewmember fell overboard. The Smartfind S20 tag, designed to be attached to a lifejacket, is compatible with the existing AIS tracers and on-board navigation systems. This ultralight tag emits alarm messages containing the GPS location and a specific identification, to the present AIS receivers within a radius of 4 nautical miles approximately. At night, a flash led facilitates the Visual location of the tag. A receiver, built-in high-precision GPS updated every 60 seconds, ensures the accuracy of the data. With accurate data location, distance and bearing, the other crewmembers (as well as the AIS on area receivers) gives information necessary for localization and the quick rescue of the person in trouble, thus dramatically increasing its chances of survival. The S20 tag emits continuously for at least 24 hours and the battery has a shelf life of 7 years. Through its ABS case, the S20 is waterproof up to 5 m deep. Features:
